JACOB ALEXANDER is a working non-union actor, director, and casting professional based in CHICAGO who seeks to tell inspiring stories with his bright, collaborative spirit. He enjoys watching crime shows (current favorite is High Potential), taking walks in 65+ degree weather, and spending time with his family in his happy place, the upper peninsula of Michigan.
Growing up in the western suburbs of the city, Jacob is a 2023 graduate of North Central College in Naperville, IL with a dual degree in Acting & Musical Theatre. While there, he appeared in various mainstage productions such as TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS (Letter Writer #1), INTO THE WOODS (Steward, u/s Baker & Jack), HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE (Male Greek Chorus), and the collegiate premiere of the musical RENASCENCE (Father). College was also where he discovered his passion for directing and made his debut with the musical NEXT TO NORMAL during his senior year.
Offstage, you’ll likely find Jacob behind the front desk at Writers Theatre in Glencoe, where he works as a Box Office Associate, or House Managing / Bartending at Oil Lamp Theater in Glenview.
